Player Info

Roman Shcherbakov is a Belarusian point guard taking his talents to Russia with Altay Basket Barnaul. The 22-year-old playmaker, wearing number 23, stands at 6'1" and brings a blend of quickness and scoring punch to the backcourt. Shcherbakov's move to the Russian league represents a significant step in his professional development. Shcherbakov began his career in his native Belarus, where he quickly established himself as a dynamic guard capable of creating his own shot. His transfer to Altay Basket Barnaul marks his first major challenge outside his home country, testing his skills in a more physically demanding league. As a point guard, he is tasked with both running the offense and being a primary scoring threat, often using his 185cm frame to navigate through defenses. A key highlight from his early career was a high-scoring performance in a Belarusian league playoff game. His style is aggressive and confident, favoring drives to the basket and pull-up jumpers. Shcherbakov is currently seen as an exciting, score-first guard looking to prove himself on a new stage.
