Riku Segawa is a 19-year-old point guard for the Chiba Jets in Japan's premier B.League. Born in August 2006, the 184 cm tall floor general wears number 5 and is considered one of the most promising young Japanese playmakers. Weighing 76 kg, Segawa is quick and shifty, with excellent court vision and a high basketball IQ. His development within the Chiba Jets system, one of the top clubs in Japan, has been rapid. He is learning to run a professional offense and has shown flashes of brilliance as a passer and scorer. Segawa's ultimate goal is to become the starting point guard for both the Jets and the Japanese senior national team, following the path of his idol, Yuki Togashi.
