Obi Toppin
Indiana Pacers/PF/
Player Info
Obi Toppin is a high-flying power forward for the Indiana Pacers, bringing elite athleticism and explosive finishing ability to one of the NBA's fastest-paced offenses. The 28-year-old from Brooklyn was the 8th overall pick in the 2020 draft after a spectacular National Player of the Year season at the University of Dayton. Standing 6'9" with a chiseled frame, Toppin's game is synonymous with highlight-reel dunks, both in transition and as a lob threat in the half-court. He began his career with the New York Knicks, where he won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest and provided energy off the bench. Traded to the Pacers, he has found a perfect system under coach Rick Carlisle, whose up-tempo style allows Toppin to run the floor and finish with authority. While his outside shot and defense continue to develop, his ability to space the floor as a cutter and his positive locker room presence are invaluable. In Indiana, Toppin is a fan favorite whose athleticism perfectly complements the playmaking of Tyrese Haliburton.
