GermanyPlayer Info
Nyara Sabally is a talented German center for the New York Liberty, possessing a unique blend of size, skill, and perimeter ability for a player of her stature. The younger sister of WNBA star Satou Sabally, she starred at the University of Oregon before being selected 5th overall by the Liberty in the 2022 WNBA Draft. While injuries have been a challenge early in her career, her potential remains immense. Her collegiate honors include All-Pac-12 recognition. When healthy, Sabally showcases a smooth offensive game with three-point range, adept passing, and the ability to put the ball on the floor. She represents the new age of European bigs—highly skilled and versatile. For the Liberty, she is a project with star upside, a player who could stretch defenses and create mismatches with her multifaceted skill set.
