Nneka Ogwumike is a superstar forward for the Seattle Storm and one of the most accomplished and respected players in WNBA history. The first overall pick in the 2012 draft by the Los Angeles Sparks, Ogwumike's impact was immediate, winning both the Rookie of the Year and MVP awards in her debut season—a feat unmatched in league history. She spent over a decade with the Sparks, leading them to a championship in 2016, where she was named Finals MVP. A model of consistency and efficiency, she is a six-time All-Star and the 2016 league MVP. Her career honors are extensive, including the 2016 WNBA title, an Olympic gold medal with Team USA in 2020, and multiple All-WNBA First Team selections. Known for her high-percentage scoring in the post, intelligent defense, and leadership, Ogwumike is also the president of the WNBA Players Association.
