SpainPlayer Info
Megan Gustafson is a high-efficiency center for the Las Vegas Aces, known for her dominant low-post scoring and rebounding. The American-born player, who now represents Spain internationally, was a collegiate superstar at the University of Iowa, where she won the 2019 Naismith Player of the Year award. Drafted in the second round by the Dallas Wings in 2019, Gustafson has carved out a niche as a reliable backup big. Her game is defined by fundamental excellence: superb footwork, soft touch with either hand around the basket, and a tenacious work ethic on the glass. After stints with several teams, she found a role with the championship-contending Las Vegas Aces, providing valuable minutes off the bench with her scoring punch in the paint. Gustafson's journey from a second-round pick to a contributor on a top team is a story of perseverance and maximizing one's strengths. She is a throwback post player whose efficiency and professionalism are highly valued by coaches.
