Jrue Holiday
Portland Trail Blazers/PG/
Player Info
Jrue Holiday is an elite point guard for the Portland Trail Blazers, widely respected as one of the premier two-way players in the NBA. Drafted 17th overall in 2009 by the Philadelphia 76ers, he made an All-Star team in 2013 before being traded to the New Orleans Pelicans. It was in New Orleans, and later with the Milwaukee Bucks, that his reputation as a clutch performer and defensive stalwart soared. He was the defensive anchor for the Bucks' 2021 championship run, famously locking down opposing stars in the playoffs. A two-time All-Star and two-time All-Defensive First Team member, Holiday also won an Olympic gold medal in 2020. His game is a complete package: a savvy playmaker, a capable three-point shooter, and perhaps the best perimeter defender in the league, capable of guarding positions one through three. Known for his strength, intelligence, and quiet leadership, Holiday's arrival in Portland signals a commitment to winning and provides the team with an invaluable veteran presence on both ends of the floor.
