Jake Layman is an American small forward whose athleticism and shooting stroke have taken him from the NBA to a prominent role in Japan's B.League. The 32-year-old, 202 cm forward was drafted 47th overall in 2016 by the Orlando Magic and traded to the Portland Trail Blazers, where he spent the first three seasons of his NBA career. In Portland, Layman was known as a high-flying wing capable of explosive dunks and spot-up three-point shooting. He later played for the Minnesota Timberwolves before taking his talents overseas. Currently with the SeaHorses Mikawa in Japan, Layman has become a star import, using his NBA-level athleticism and improved scoring ability to dominate in the B.League.
