Guangdong Southern Tigers/PF/
Player Info
Jared Sullinger is an American power forward, currently showcasing his talents with the Guangdong Southern Tigers in the Chinese Basketball Association. A highly productive college star at Ohio State University, Sullinger entered the NBA as the 21st overall pick in the 2012 Draft by the Boston Celtics. His early career in Boston was promising, as he averaged a double-double in his second season, demonstrating excellent footwork, rebounding instincts, and a soft touch around the basket. However, back injuries began to hamper his progress, and after four seasons with the Celtics, his NBA journey concluded. Sullinger then revitalized his career overseas, first in China and later returning to become a dominant force in the CBA. A former NBA All-Rookie Second Team member, Sullinger's career arc shows a player whose skill and intelligence allowed him to transition from a promising NBA starter to a superstar in one of the world's top professional leagues outside the United States.
