Jack Cooley
Ryukyu Golden Kings/C/
Player Info
Jack Cooley is an American center currently bringing his rugged, blue-collar style to the Ryukyu Golden Kings in Japan's B.League. The 6'10" big man from Evanston, Illinois, was a force in the paint at the University of Notre Dame, earning All-Big East honors. After going undrafted in 2013, Cooley carved out a niche with his exceptional rebounding and high-energy play. He saw NBA action with the Utah Jazz and Memphis Grizzlies but truly flourished in the NBA G League, where he was a multiple-time All-Star and led the league in rebounding. His success translated overseas, with productive stints in Turkey and Spain before his move to Japan. Cooley's game is built on strength, fundamentals, and an unmatched work rate on the boards. He is a classic throwback center who scores on putbacks and in the post while anchoring the defense. His consistent double-double production makes him a cornerstone for any team he plays for.
