David Johnson
Tasmania JackJumpers/G/
United StatesPlayer Info
David Johnson is a combo guard applying his trade with the Tasmania JackJumpers in Australia's NBL, continuing a professional journey that began after being drafted 47th overall by the Toronto Raptors in 2021. The Louisville product spent time in the NBA G League before finding a significant role overseas. In the NBL, known for its physicality and development of NBA talent, Johnson uses his 6-foot-4 frame and strength to his advantage as a defender and slasher. He is working to become a more consistent perimeter shooter to complement his defensive intensity. His path reflects that of many second-round picks who use international leagues as a platform to refine their game, with the hope of eventually earning another NBA opportunity down the line.
