NigeriaPlayer Info
Charles Bassey is a Nigerian center providing solid interior depth for the Atlanta Hawks, known for his shot-blocking and rebounding prowess. Drafted 53rd overall in 2021 by the Philadelphia 76ers, Bassey has bounced between the NBA and G League, showing flashes of being a reliable backup big. He had a standout G League season, earning All-Defensive and All-Second Team honors. With the Hawks, he uses his 6-foot-10 frame and 7-foot-3 wingspan to protect the rim and finish efficiently around the basket. While his offensive game is mostly limited to dunks and put-backs, his defensive instincts and energy are valuable assets. Bassey continues to work on his body and footwork, aiming to secure a permanent role as a traditional, defensive-minded center in the league.
